Repair & Care for Hobo

Back to Hobo

Q -  How do I care for my Hobo product?

A - LEATHER PRODUCTS:
• Milano Leather and Vintage Leather; these fine Italian calfskins will soften slightly with age and develop a rich luster from the natural oils in your hands. No leather care products are recommended.

• Luxe Leather and Nubuck Leather; these fine leathers have been treated with a special rain and stain repellant. Rain will not stain them. They will darken slightly with use. No additional leather care products are recommended.

• Supersoft and Natural Vaqueta Leathers;  these beautiful leathers will continue to soften as their natural oils work to the surface. Slight darkening in the lighter colors is expected. A mild leather care conditioner (not saddle soap) can be applied occasionally to enhance the natural beauty.

DURAFIBER: This special material is constructed to withstand daily use. It is snag and tear resistant. You can clean it with a damp, lint-free cloth and mild soap and water.  Do not wash your bag in the washing machine.

URBAN OXIDE-BUBBLE RUBEUR: This synthetic rubeur material is best cleaned with mild soap and water. A mild spray cleaner can be used on stubborn spots.

If your material is not listed here or you have any additional questions, please contact Customer Service at Hobo 800.277.4626.

Q -  What is Hobo's repair policy?

A - Hobo stands behind all of their products and will gladly handle any repairs that are the result of a manufacturing defect. Repair requests can be directed to Hobo repair department repairs@hobobags.com by e-mail or call Hobo at 800.277.HOBO. Hobo's usual repair time is six to eight weeks. Like a favorite pair of blue jeans, handbags do wear over time. We are happy to offer suggestions for improving a bag's condition if general wear and tear has diminished its appearance.
